This Free Directory Submission will increase your PR value, and add some quality backlinks to your website.

Search Engine Optimization Articles

I have updated our SEO Blog Daily SEO recently and added some valuable articles.

With the new PR update, Daily SEO has received PR 5 along with PR 4 post pages. For a brand new blog with PR 0, it's a great start I believe.

I will be updating Daily SEO more frequently.

Here are some recent search engine optimization articles from Daily SEO.

I hope these articles will help. I will be adding more search engine optimization articles this week about SEO.

Natural Linking for Website Networks

If you have a network of websites, you may probably heard about being penalized by Google. Many SEO experts believe that you have to host your websites on different C Block IP's, which brings extra work and cost to the network owner.

As OneStop Network, we have moved all of our sites to a VPS hosted by ServInt. Only question we had in mind was not being able to have multiple C Block IP's. But this PR update clearly shows that if you have a natural cross linking between your sites, you shouldn't have a problem. All of our sites' PR's have increased in the network.

April PR Update

Predicted April PR update has finally started last night. Many SEO experts thought this PR Update should happen at the beginning of April, but it has started yesterday.

OneStop Network sites have increased their PR values. Most of our sites went up to PR 5, and some PR 2-3-4 .

Free Broken Link Checker Software

I have found this cool free broken link checker software Xenu . It works pretty fast, and also user interface is very nice and clean.

Any website owner should check the broken links on their sites once in a while. Especially if you have a directory style website, you should be checking the broken links frequently.

With Xenu, you can also use a local feed to check the broken links, or a specific folder in the site structure.

This is the description from Xenu's site:

Xenu's Link Sleuth (TM) checks Web sites for broken links. Link verification is done on "normal" links, images, frames, plug-ins, backgrounds, local image maps, style sheets, scripts and java applets. It displays a continously updated list of URLs which you can sort by different criteria. A report can be produced at any time.

  • Simple, no-frills user-interface
  • Can re-check broken links (useful for temporary network errors)
  • Simple report format, can also be e-mailed
  • Executable file less than 500K
  • Supports SSL websites ("https:// ")
  • Partial testing of ftp and gopher sites
  • Detects and reports redirected URLs
  • Site Map
I hope this will help somebody. Enjoy and thanks to Tilman Hausherr for offering this software for free.

Paid Submission Directory

OneStop Shopping Directory is offering $10.00 one time fee, life time submissions. OneStop Directory already has over 7000 pages indexed by Google, and projecting a PR 5-6 with next PR update.

So if you are looking for a quality directory for paid submission but a reasonable one, you have to check out submission options at OneStop.

Usually similar, or less valuable directories start their submissions around $40.00 / year. But at OneStop Directory, you will pay only $10.00 one time fee for life time inclusion.

Why paid submission directory ?
Because many of the free services will not be available for long, and your backlinks will disappear in a short term.

OneStop has started as a free directory, but over 200 submissions/day made us to start charging a reasonable review fee. We hope the webmasters will get the best value for their paid submission to OneStop Directory.

Blog Directories and RSS Submission Sites

While I was surfing for blog directories to submit my blogs, I've found MasterNewMedia's list of blog directories and RSS Submission Sites .

This is the most comprehensive list I've ever seen. So if you need some free promotion for your blog, start submitting it to these blog directories. It takes some time, but remember creating quality backlinks should be your priority in online marketing, and SEO.

If you have a business blog, or a business related/general blog, you can also submit it to our OneStop Directory business blogs section, and Online Shopping Directory business blogs section.

Blogging tips:

  • Keep the content fresh, update frequently
  • Try to add unique and quality content, short, and news type posts don't hurt but unique content rocks.
  • Create as many one way backlinks as possible.
  • Try to create some reciprocal links with related topic blogs by emailing the authors.
  • Always publish an RSS, atom or similar format for people who don't read the blogs in a browser.
  • Optimize your blog template for search engines.

Good luck with blogging, and improving your visibility in the world of billions of blogs :)

Online Shopping Directory with New Design

I have worked on our Online Shopping Directory during the last weekend, and it's almost ready to re-launch with the new design. I wanted to keep the design simple, and clean.

What's the benefit of submitting your sites to our shopping directory ?

It's free submission, and you don't have to place a link back.

You get a static link from the category page with your choice of anchor text, and your site gets a detailed page with 3 static backlinks.

Ok what else do you need :) ? You can submit your shopping sites right away.

Google PR Update Not Happened

As many of webmasters, I was also accepting a Google PR Update on April 1st. But Google did fool us :)

What's the next step? Don't worry about the toolbar PR and focus on improving your on site and off site optimization.

Maybe you have a new site and it's a great chance for you to build some more quality back links. #1 important part of Google PR algo is backlinks.

Some say visual Google PR is worthless which I do not agree. We can discuss how much Google uses it in their algo, but when it comes to advertising, text link exchange and promotion of your site, it is gold to have a PR 6-7-8 site.

I was already approached by an advertising company for one of my high PR sites, and only thing they care is PR, and I'm happy to get paid for something I'd usually doing for free.

So toolbar PR matters if you want to turn your hard work into cash.

I will keep watching the PR update, and let you know about my thoughts. Time to get back to work and spend this time to improve the onsite and offsite SEO on our sites.
