Google Toolbar PR Update Projection

I have been writing about Google Toolbar PR update on several sites, and my projection is April 1st 2005 (tomorrow).

Here's another post I made about Google PR Update at Daily-SEO.com

Blogging for Profit

Many people think blogs can make big money. It is not totally wrong. If you have a niche blog with good and fresh content, you can make some good profit out of it.

ProBlogger has published some survey results and it looks interesting. Here's the link .

33% of the bloggers earn less than $30/month which means less than a buck/day. I wasn't surprised with the numbers. Here's the break down:

  • 33% earned under $30 per month
  • 16% earned between $30 and $99 per month
  • 11% earned between $100 and $499
  • 9% earned between $500 and $999
  • 4% earned between $1000 and $1499
  • 2% earned between $1500 and $2499
  • 4% earned between $2500 and $4999
  • 3% earned between $5000 and $9999
  • 1% earned over $10,000
  • 13% do not use Adsense
  • 4% did not wish to disclose their earnings

Only 13% of the bloggers who have participated do not use Adsense on their blogs.

Good luck to all bloggers who blog for profit .

Google Adsense Ad Links

Google has launched a new Adsense Ad format called Ad Links . Regular ad formats of Google Adsense used to fall into two categories, text links and banners. When a user clicked on the Adsense, they would be directed to the advertiser's page.

But with Ad Links, Google Adsense will pull related keyphrases for your page and list them on your ad space. When a visitor clicks on a keyphrase they will be directed to a page of ads served by Google Adsense. So instead of one click, visitors have to click twice (first on keyphrase, then on the ad served at second page) in order for you to make money as an Adsense Publisher.

There has been some discussions about positive and negative sides of Google Adsense Ad Links . On one discussion at DigitalPoint Webmaster Forum about Ad Links , some webmasters believe Ad Links will positively affect their paychecks from Google, but some believe it will reduce the CTR (Click Through Rate). But it will take some time for webmasters to figure out the exact benefits of Google Adsense Ad Links since they will track the ratios through channels and will decide from statistical data.

Here's a screenshot of some available Google Adsense Ad Links Formats:

As you can see from the screenshots, most relevant keyphrases for the page are served by Google Adsense Ad Links , and when a visitor clicks on a keyphrase they're taken to a page with ads served by Google Adsense.
